Unit 8 Could you please clean your room?
说教材
1、 教材分析:
本单元通过口语交流,学会礼貌地提出请求,并且礼貌地请求允许做某事,可采用问卷调查、小组活动等方式使学生熟悉主题词、常用动词词组,进而掌握写留言条以请求他人帮助。

说教法、学法
通过口语交际掌握所学句型,采用小组活动提供口语操练的机会。为增加学生的兴趣,在班内利用问卷调查、演双簧熟练运用词组。给家人写留言条,学会格式及提高表达能力,使学生在交流中学习、在活动中提高。

第一课时
Language Goals:
Make polite requests
Ask for permission
Useful expressions
Step 1 Useful expressions
Teacher: Do you often help your mother with housework at home? Could you please tell me what you do?
Students: Do the dishes , sweep the floor , take out the trash , make bed , folg clothes , clean the living room , ect…
Read and write for some minutes.
Ask and answer in pairs.
Step 2 Make a survey
Teacher: Of all the chores we listed , what do you like or dislike ? Please discuss with your partners and in the chart.
Chores Like Dislike
Do the dishes
Sweep the floor
Take out the trash
Make the bed
Step 3 Dialogues
Teacher: If I want to have your pencil what is a more polite way to ask for? What word can I use? Such as , Please give me your pencil.
Write “please” on the board. Then say, Could you please give me your pencil?
Ask the class to repeat it.
In this unit we are going to learn how to use “Could I please …to ask permission to do something”
Practise A: Peter, could you please take out the trash?
B: Sure,Mom.

课后检测:
学生每人写出自己的三个小请求,其他同学以活动为小组活动,给予答复。通过此项活动,学生可学会委婉地表示请求。

Teacher: You are student A and you are student B. Ask student
A and student B to read it to the class.
Make similar dialogues

Repeat them and compare with each other.

Step 5 Make a list of the chores you do. Write “like” or “don′t like ” next to each chore . Tell a partner about your list and say why.

Write each of these chores on a card and put them face down. Turn one card over and ask your partner to do the chore. Your partner says “no” and gives a reason.

Ask students to complete the chart on their own.
Correct the answers.

Read the instructions.
Ask a student to read the beginning of the e-mail message.
Ask some students to read their messages to the class.

Ask students to say some other things they might need help with.
Ask students to finish their e-mail messages on their own.

1 Ask students to fill in the blanks on their own.
2 Think of other things that you want your best friend to do.Write them in the message.
