Step One: Review
Ask students to pretend they are new to this school .Let’s practice some polite ways to find places like the library?

Step one:Grammar
一 . 宾语从句的用法 : 宾语从句在复合句中作主句谓语动词或介词的宾语 .
A) 引导词
1. 陈述句做宾语从句时 , 用 that 引导 .
I’m afraid (that)you are wrong.
I think (that) he is the best singer in our class.
2. 一般疑问句作宾语从句时 , 用 if 或 whether 引导 .
Could you tell me if /whether Mr Brown lives here?
They asked me if/whether I went to schoolyesterday.
注意 : 在下列情况下 , 一般用 whether, 不用 if.
A: 在介词后面
We didn’t think about whether it would rain the next day.
B:whether 后 , 可以跟动词不定式 .
They asked me whether to start at once.
C: 当与 or not 连用 , 或提出两种选择时 .
I don’t know whether he is free or not.
3. 用关系代词或关系副词引导的宾语从句
I don’t know who is that young man.
B) 时态
1. 主句是一般现在时 , 宾语从句时态不变 .
2. 主句是一般过去时 , 宾语从句时态要与主句时态保持一致 .
C) 语序
宾语从句的语序必须是陈述语序 .
Could you tell me where they went for a holiday?( √ )
Could you tell me where did they go for a holiday?( × )
