Lesson One
一、教学目标
A:New words:
Australia, Japan, Canada, France, the United State, Singapore, the United Kingdom,
B:New language:
Where's your pen pal from?
He's from Australia.
二、教学重、难点
1.be from=come from
2.Where's your pen pal from?=Where does your pen pal from?
3.He's from China.=He comes from China.
三、教学过程
Step One:If you have a large wall map of learning new words: the world, point out the location of each country and ask students to repeat the names again.
指地图学单词:Country-Countries world
Australia, Japan, Canada, France, the United State, Singapore, the United Kingdom
There are many countries in the world.
Read and write the new words for several times.
Step Two:Listen and write the countries in 1a you hear.
Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore
Step Three:Pairwork: Practise the conversations in the picture.
1.---Where is your pen pal from? ----He's from Australia.
Ask and answer in pairs.
2.Then look at the things in your backpack. Ask and answer questions:
---Where are your shoes from? ---They're from China.
---Where's your watch from? ---It's from Canada.
Step Four:
1.be from=come from
2.Where's your pen pal from?=Where does your pen pal from?
3.He's from China.=He comes from China.
Ask and answer in pairs.
Step Five:任务型活动,介绍笔友的国籍。
Lesson Two
一、教学目标:

He lives in Tokyo.
二、教学过程
Step One:任务型活动(一),学习城市名称
学习几个城市名,可用猜猜看游戏。课前让学生准备一些著名城市的相关资料,如独特的习俗、语言、人口状况、物产、人文历史、科技发展等等,利用这些信息组织小竞赛,看谁只需要最少的信息就能猜出城市名。
New words:
Sydney, New York, Paris, Tornto, Tokyo, live, live in
Read and write the new words for several times.
导入新句型:Where do you live? I live in China.
Step Two:Complete the chart of 2a: Where are these cities?eg.
Where's Sydney? It's in Australia.
用这个句型问答方式完成表格:
Where's New York? It's in the USA.
Step Three:Listen to the tape and complete the chart of 2c.
Step Four:Pairwork 根据表格内容问答练习。
Where is John's pen pal from?
He's from Japan.
Where does he live?
He lives in Tokyo.

Step Six: 活动:猜猜他(她)是谁
此活动为小组活动,学生在此项活动中进一步练习询问人物的相关信息,例如:国家、国籍、语言等,并复习前几个单元出现的句型。
操作建议:
1、课前让学生根据自己的兴趣自由结合,例如球星组、歌星组、乐队组、影星组及风云人物组等,然后寻找本组感兴趣的名人的国籍、民族、语言以及其相关资料。
2、小组代表说出这个人物的特征,其他小组Guess who he is?
完成任务所需要的语言结构:
1.A:Where is he from?
B:He is from America.
A:Does he live in New York?
B:No, he doesn't.

B:He lives in Washington.

二、教学过程
Step One
1.Read the letter first, then answer the questions in the box.
①Where is Bob from? He is from Canada.
②What does he want? He wants a pen pal in China.
③What languages does he speak? He speaks English a little.
④What does he like? He likes going to the movies with my friends and playing sports.
Step Two.Read the letter several times, explain the expressions in it.
①I think China is a very interesting country.
②I can speak English and a little French.
③I like going to the movies with my friends and playing sports.
④Can you write to me soon?
⑤Please write and tell me about yourself.
Step Three:Complete the pen pal letter with the information on the card.
Step Four:Make an information card. Then write an e-mail about yourself.
Step Five:活动
写一封信给姊妹学校,介绍自己的情况并说明想要邀请的外国留学生情况。
操作建议:
此项任务中,教师可以先给学生一个范例,然后让学生分组讨论,再把信写出来。(如根据自己实际情况替换划线部分)
