学生通过学习单词词组，能够使用want表达喜好，并利用表示品质的形容词great funny exciting sad等词陈述理由。通过句型操练和对话练习反复出现want在一般现在时中的用法，包括疑问句及肯定、否定回答，帮助学生学习和掌握。教材通过表述喜好与否，体现and与but的区别，以便学生理解和应用。
